Introduction
We are delighted to share the ongoing progress of one of our projects in Brackley. The project involves a two storey extension to an existing industrial unit for our valued client Xsign.
Xsign are market leaders in design, manufacturing, and installing signs for a wide variety of uses. Their bespoke signs grace interior and exterior spaces and are known for matching these to the structure’s architecture. Xsign’s projects include clear visual cues for easier navigation, working with major contractors to create cohesive designs that blend seamlessly with their surroundings, utilising expert craftsmanship and materials suited to the environment. The Project
Due to the ongoing growth of their business, Xsign needed to expand their existing premises. The expansion will utilise the vacant land on their property, providing additional space to enhance their printing and sign manufacturing capabilities.
Our involvement in this project has continued for several years. As the technical partner for Xsign, our input includes planning discharge, preparing tender information, selecting contractors, completing construction detailing, and managing contracts during the site phase
From the outset of the project, we made it a priority to fully understand our client’s needs, taking the time to engage in detailed discussions and assessments. While adding to an existing building presents challenges, our methodical approach ensures the success of any transformation.
The Process
Due to variable ground conditions at the site, we designed a piling ground beam with a suspended ground floor slab. We worked alongside Optima Foundations, the UK piling services specialist to ensure the piles were appropriately designed and installed.This marks another successful collaboration with Optima Foundations.
